SUCHTKUNST! Short Introduction

Klaus Bortoluzzi is born 1959 in Iggelheim, Pfalz, Germany and lives in Berlin since 1978.

Denise Sheila Puri is born 1966 in Riverdale, Maryland, USA and lives in Berlin since 1972.

Both met in 1992 during a theater production. He made the photos and she the costumes. Since that time they are a couple. They live and work together in Berlin's Neukölln district. Klaus as an landscape architect and Denise as a stage- and costumdesigner.

In 2002 they opened an office with a small gallery, called <dz.> Büro Galerie in Berlin-Neukölln. And since 2005 they pursue the Gallery R31.

In October 2004 they won the first prize in an Artists' Ideas Competition with „coincidences / Zufälligkeiten“, a design „to get the park into the city“ for the National Garden Festival in Gera/ Ronneburg 2007.
